Terms of use

This is the agreement between you and Kit Suite. It is written to be read, not to be skipped.

What Kit Suite is

Kit Suite is a tool that runs in your web browser. You point it at a folder of samples and it produces the files FL Studio reads to style a browser folder: .nfo sidecars, cover art, a read-me, and optionally metadata tags written into your WAV files. It then hands you a zip.

Kit Suite is not made by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Image-Line, the makers of FL Studio. "FL Studio" is their trademark and is used here only to describe what Kit Suite is compatible with.

Free and Pro

The free tier is free with no account and no time limit. Pro is a single payment of $29 that unlocks the art library, the typefaces, WAV tagging and the pack-info document.

Pro is not a subscription. There is no renewal and no expiry date. It covers the current version of Kit Suite and every update we ship to it. If we ever build something genuinely new and separate, that would be its own product, and we will not quietly convert your purchase into a trial of it.

Icon packs are sold separately. If you buy them on a recurring plan, that plan is a subscription and you can cancel it at any time.

Your licence key

Your key is for you. Use it on the machines you work on — your studio desktop, your laptop, a reinstall after a wipe. What it is not for is posting publicly, selling on, or sharing with a group. Keys found in public get deactivated.

The key check runs from your browser directly against the seller's servers. If a key comes back refunded, charged back or disputed, Pro features switch off.

Your files

Kit Suite reads your folders inside your browser. There is no upload and no server of ours that receives them, because there isn't a server of ours at all — the whole thing is a static page. See the privacy page for what that means in detail.

You keep every right you had in your own samples, artwork and text. We claim nothing in what you make. We also cannot recover anything for you if something goes wrong, because we never had a copy.

What you agree not to do

Resell, rehost or repackage Kit Suite itself as your own product or service.
Work around the Pro check instead of buying it. The code is in your browser and we know you can read it; we are asking you not to, in the same spirit that we are not putting your files on a server.
Use Kit Suite to build or distribute anything you do not hold the rights to.

What we promise, and what we don't

Kit Suite is provided as it is. We have tested it on real kits, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that FL Studio will keep reading .nfo files the same way in every future version.

Back up your kit folder before you style it. Styling writes new files beside your folders and WAV tagging appends a metadata block to your audio files. Both are designed to be non-destructive and the audio itself is left byte for byte identical, but you should still have a copy, the same as you would before any batch operation on a folder you care about.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

If Kit Suite shuts down

If we ever stop running the site, we will publish a final build of the app as a file you can download and keep. It runs entirely in your browser, so a saved copy keeps working offline.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the date at the top changes and the change applies going forward, not backwards. Your purchase is governed by the terms in force when you bought.
