The short version: your samples never leave your machine, and we do not run a server that could receive them.

Your audio and folders

When you drop a folder into Kit Suite, it is read by your browser using the standard file APIs and held in memory on your own computer. The zip is built on your machine too.

There is no upload step, no progress bar and no storage bucket, because there is no endpoint to upload to. This is also why it works on a 4GB kit without waiting: nothing is travelling anywhere. You can verify it by opening your browser's network tab while you use it, or by pulling your network cable and styling a kit offline.

What is stored on your device

Kit Suite writes a small amount of data to your browser's local storage, which stays on your device and is never transmitted:

kitsuite.lic — your licence key, the name on the purchase and the date it was last checked, so you do not have to paste it every visit.
Your read-me defaults — splits, credit line, contact and store link, so the next kit comes prefilled.

Clearing your browser data removes both. You can also remove the licence from a browser from inside the app.

What leaves your browser

Three things, all of them initiated by you loading or using the page:

Licence checks. When you paste a key or return with a saved one, your key is sent directly from your browser to the payment provider that issued it, to confirm it is valid and not refunded. This goes to them, not to us, and happens at most once a week.
Fonts and libraries. The page loads typefaces from Google Fonts and the zip library from cdnjs. Those providers see the request and your IP address, as they would for any site that uses them.
Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes connection data including your IP address to deliver the page and block abuse.

What we do not do

We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, session recording or cross-site trackers. We do not build a profile of you, and we have nothing to sell to a data broker even if we wanted to.

If you buy Pro, the payment is handled by the seller's checkout. They collect your email and billing details as merchant of record; we receive the record of the sale. We use your email to send you your key and to answer you if you write in. We do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.

Your rights

Because we hold so little, most data requests are quick. Write to us and we will tell you exactly what is attached to your email address, correct it, or delete it. If you are in the UK, EU or California, your statutory rights to access, correct, delete and object apply and we will honour them within the time the law allows.

Children

Kit Suite is a tool for people selling sample packs and is not directed at children under 13.
